The Bug Boys earned an honorable mention in the 2016 self-published ebook awards, in the genre fiction category.

Judge’s notes:

The Bug Boys presents with a cute, colorful cover art design that immediately intrigues me and (for whatever reason) brings a smile to my face. What a great little story!  Just really smart writing here.  Fun plot, fantastic characters, and a solid entry from cover to cover.

Alex and Ian cracked me up and they will keep any reader (of any age) turning the pages and giggling all the way.  I was very impressed with their personalities and how they leapt off the page.  I really feel like they could literally be the kids down the street (well, sort of).  So, great characterization.

The plot is super clever, and the author’s writing style and voice is perfect for the genre.  Nice pacing—no major slow downs.  Nice mix of narrative and dialogue.  Realistic dialogue for the genre and the age group.

The over-all production quality is top notch.  No major editing issues.

I was very impressed and will definitely look for more from this author in the near future.  Thank you for sharing this adventure with us.
